When going on long trips to foreign countries, is it wise to bring a big luggage bag and a smaller bag with 1-2 sets of clothes? Or is that too much/paranoid?

Sounds just right to me. If you plan on doing a lot of shopping though, you may not want to bring *too* many things, just so you'll have room to bring stuff back. I don't see how one large checked item + one carryon could be excessive though, it seems pretty normal to me. Have fun, wherever you're going!

jeans... t shirts... fuzzy orange and green jacket ... :O
if you bring a big one and a small one, leave space for new stuffs in the big one :3
or if you just bring one and they lose it... SHOPPING SPREE :3
